The Thuraya ADU/BDU Satellite Terminal delivers reliable satellite communication for maritime, vehicular, and fixed-site applications. Supporting circuit-switched voice, SMS, and GmPRS data (via external serial interface), it ensures dependable connectivity when operating outside of terrestrial networks.
The system consists of a rugged Antenna Deployment Unit (ADU) and Baseband Unit (BDU), designed to withstand harsh conditions. The ADU is IP67-rated, making it fully protected against dust and water, while the BDU provides IP32 ingress protection for reliable indoor performance.
With a 2.4-inch user interface display, keypad, navigation pad, and SOS button, the terminal is intuitive to use, while its extensive connectivity options (DC input, GPIO ports, RS-232, NMEA, RJ-11, 3.5mm audio, SIM slot) ensure easy integration with existing systems. The unit also supports Thuraya SatTrack add-on software for advanced fleet management and tracking solutions.
