The Thuraya Satellite Terminal is a compact and rugged communication system designed for maritime, land-based, and vehicular applications. Offering circuit-switched voice, SMS, and GmPRS data (via external serial interface), it ensures reliable connectivity even in remote regions where terrestrial networks are unavailable.
The system consists of an Antenna Deployment Unit (ADU) and Baseband Unit (BDU), engineered to withstand harsh environments. The ADU is IP67-rated for outdoor use, while the BDU offers IP32 protection, making the system suitable for diverse operating conditions.
With a user-friendly 2.4” display, keypad, navigation pad, and SOS button, the terminal is easy to operate, while multiple interfaces (RS-232, NMEA, RJ-11, GPIO, SIM slot, audio out, DC input) provide maximum integration flexibility for voice, data, and tracking applications.
This terminal supports Thuraya SatTrack add-on software, enabling advanced fleet tracking and asset management—ideal for government, enterprise, and logistics operations.
