O3b mPOWER – Next-Generation High-Throughput Satellite System
The O3b mPOWER system is SES’s latest high-performance satellite network, delivering unmatched throughput, predictable low latency, and guaranteed availability for mission-critical operations across the globe. Operating at 8,000 km in Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), O3b mPOWER consists of an initial constellation of 13 high-throughput satellites and extensive ground infrastructure built with over 30 leading technology partners including Intellian, AvL, ALL.SPACE, Gilat, Comtech, Microsoft, and Amdocs.
Launched in partnership with Boeing and SpaceX, the constellation began commercial service in April 2024 and will expand to full deployment by mid-2025. It already powers some of the world’s most demanding sectors:
