The Iridium Extreme 9575 uses the Iridium network, a network of 66 satellites covering 100% of the world, including the oceans and the poles. The Iridium Extreme 9575 leverages this robust network service to provide you with highly reliable mobile voice and text communications to provide highly reliable, mobile and essential voice, text and web communications.
Due to the satellite constellation of Iridium, you are not bound to the direct line of sight towards the equator, but can also establish a network connection on the north side (northern hemisphere) of a mountain as long as the Iridium satellite is above you. This is also true in canyons, valleys or fjords. This would quickly be the case, for example, in northern countries from which geostationary satellites are almost inaccessible. Even in these regions with the most extreme environmental conditions, this is the only phone certified to MIL STD 810F that remains functional. And it is also dust-proof, vibration-proof and jet-proof according to IP65.
Due to the low position of the satellites, you benefit from almost imperceptible delay times when making calls.
The standard battery lasts up to 30 hours standby time and up to 4 hours talk time. The standby and talk time can be extended with the High Capacity battery.
The Iridium Extreme 9575 can also be activated with a tracking service and thus cost-effectively transmit the current position at defined time intervals and make it visible on a map.
The Iridium phones can be used with PRE and POSTPAID cards. In the PREPAID area you can choose from 75min to 30 days - 5000min for 24 months validity. With POSTPAID you can choose between 5,10,75,150 and unlimited minutes (within the network).
